And at the end, she gives tips on how others affected can defend themselves against bullying - whether offline or online. She tells what she would have wished from her classmates and teachers. She also draws attention to the bullies and outsiders who witnessed the exclusions. In three videos, she talks about how she experienced the attacks. Videos on the day of action - Bullying experiences of a person affectedġ8-year-old Bianca reports on her personal (cyber)-bullying experiences as part of the Day of Action against Cyberbullying. Under the hashtag #TogetherAgainstCyberbullying, we are joining forces against cyberbullying on the day of action and invite all interested parties to participate on their own social media channels as well. This week I was teaching a health lesson on the different ways smoking companies target youth. On a separate Action page This year's campaign includes videos and a comprehensive anti-cyberbullying package with information, materials and hands-on activities on the topic of cyberbullying. This week in the classroom I was able to teach a completely new topic and subject in my grade 6 classroom. Different target groups are targeted: Children, teenagers, young adults, parents and educational professionals. Klicksafe, JUUUPORT, handysektor, Internet-ABC and ZEBRA, nationwide projects of the state media authorities, have joined forces for the annual day of action against cyberbullying. Education and prevention more important than ever According to the study, suicidal thoughts also occur in one in four children or young people affected. In addition to physical complaints such as abdominal pain, psychological disorders can develop such as anxiety disorders or depression. The consequences of cyberbullying can be serious for children and young people. Before the pandemic in 2017, the figure was still 12.7 percent. 16.7 percent of students in Germany are affected by cyberbullying. This is shown by a recent study by Techniker Krankenkasse. There are also many posters up around the school that promote the acceptance of everyone from all around the world and I think this helps the students to look at their peers as friends.Cyberbullying has become a permanent problem. I think its important that the school is getting involved with the students because it works with the teachers and their classroom rules to not deliberately leave someone out or try to make someone feel anything less than accepted. The school has held assembly’s that inspire students to accept everyone as equal and have given the students ways to combat bullying as a individual as well as a group. Cellphones may be an issue in this classroom since students have access to their cellphones and during class time they are texting their peers who may be in the same class. I’ve noticed that during school time when their are substitute teachers some of the students have their cellphones out in their desks and are texting or playing some sort of game during class time. If anything were to happen in the class i would separate the students within the classroom and make sure they know that what they’ve done is wrong and won’t be happening again. In my own classroom i would make sure the students know my expectations before anything becomes an issue. We haven’t gone over bullying in the classroom because i just don’t see it being a problem in our classroom and i haven’t seen any problems around the school at all. I think any form of bullying is unacceptable because i know that it can get out of hand extremely quickly. In our field placement students don’t have cellphones out around the school that i can see and they don’t feel the need to spend lots of time around computers or other forms of technology.
